Precautions Taken in Response to Air Quality and Excessive Heat

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 UPDATE: Students and staff will remain indoors today as they did yesterday. Athletic events are canceled, with the exception of varsity football. Granada plays at Newark, where temperatures are cooler. Livermore will have a delayed start at 8:00 p.m., after sunset, and when temperatures are cooler. Our school sites continue to monitor temperature and air quality.

Because of the smoke in the area today, Thursday, August 31, and because of predicted high temperatures for tomorrow, Friday, September 1, all school sites are following inclement weather procedures, and limiting outdoor exposure of students and staff. In addition, all athletic practices and competitions have been canceled today.

Student safety continues to be our utmost priority. We will keep our community updated as conditions change.
