November Grapevine Community Newsletter

Dear Livermore Community:

A Culture of Gratitude
I am both grateful and proud to live and work in a community that highly values the education of children. Each day of the school year, our teachers, administrators, and support staff create engaging, relevant lessons that excite our students as learners. I am especially grateful this year for their unwavering commitment as they welcome students to our classrooms even after school has started. Each student and each family in our District bring unique contributions to the larger mosaic that make us a true reflection of the community. Thank you, all.

Our work as educators does not happen in isolation. Community involvement is key to making our schools great. Daily, on each of our campuses, community support is evident: volunteers, materials, and services that help our schools run well and nourish our students even after they leave. This month, we are particularly honored by gifts from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, and the Livermore Valley Education Foundation. Thank you, Livermore, for your support of our facilities, and of our students and staff!

This month, as school communities and as families, we celebrate Thanksgiving. I wish each of you a happy holiday, and I thank you all for giving so much each day of the year.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Kelly Bowers, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
