Dear Livermore Community,

This week and next we celebrate the academic growth and success of our students as they complete the 2017-18 year, well prepared to move on to their next level of learning. Over 1,000 high school seniors from the graduating Class of 2018 will move the tassels on their graduation caps to the left, symbolizing their completion of this significant chapter of their education. Please join me in congratulating our students!

We also celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding commitment and work of our educators and staff members who inspire and support our students each day. Thank you to all 1,450 of our District employees! And thank you to our parents and guardians who prepare and encourage our students to attend school ready to learn, to our volunteers who support learning in our classrooms and on our athletic fields, and to our community members who contribute time and resources to enrich the learning opportunities for all of our students. I am grateful for all of your ongoing support.

When the last bell rings to end class and summer vacation begins, let’s celebrate a great and memorable year, and enjoy the summer weeks ahead.

With gratitude,

Kelly Bowers, Ed.D.
