Negotiations Update


This area of our website is intended to provide factual information and updates regarding the status of District negotiations with our various bargaining groups.


 

Livermore Education Association (LEA)

September 28, 2017  - The bargaining teams from the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District and the Livermore Education Association met for another session on Monday, September 25th. The District responded to LEA’s request for a 3.5% ongoing salary increase with an offer of 2.5%, which would be ongoing. The District also offered to add an additional longevity, which will be placed in the 27th year. The District and LEA representatives had extensive talks about the current state of the District budget, as well as the multi-year projection.


The teams also had further conversation about modifications to the work year for nurses and psychologists.


As a reminder, the following tentative agreements have already been made:

California School Employees Association (CSEA)

May 25, 2017 - The bargaining teams from the Livermore Joint Unified School District and the California School Employees Association had very productive sessions on April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15, and May 22, 2017.  The teams will meet again on June 5, 2017.

The teams have reached tentative agreements on the following Articles:

Article 6 – Workday, Work Week and Work Year
Article 11 – Leaves
Article 13 – Pay and Allowances
Article 14 – Classification/Reclassification
Article 18 - Transfers
Article 19 - Professional Growth
Article 21 - Effects of Layoff
Appendix M- CSEA Monthly Calendar and Workdays
Appendix N - Reclassification Request Form
