Curriculum and Special Projects Department - $12.95 per hour / Positions available to assist in administering the California English Language Development Test (CELDT) to English learners throughout the school year. Training provided. Good oral communication skills required. Flexible hours.
High School Student Aide - $8.00 per hour / Part-time positions that are appropriate for current high school students. As the need arises throughout the year, students who have an application on file will be contacted to interview for open positions.
Adult Education Short-Term/Hourly Teachers - $29.00 Per Hour. (ED Rundstrum- ESL. GED, Art, Music and a variety of community classes based on teacher interest. (Morning and Evening classes). California Teaching Credentials required for all teaching positions.

*3146 - Middle School Summer School Teacher - $27.64 per hour. Position available in grades 6-8 at Junction Avenue Middle School working a total of 145 hours. Hours include: 5 hours per day (7:45-12:45) and 25 hours prep time, set up and staff meetings. The program will run four days per week, for a total of 24 instructional days. Team teaching and part-time positions may be available.
*3147 - High School Summer School Teacher - $27.64 per hour. Position available in grades 9-12 at Granada High School working a total of 174 hours. Hours include: 5.25 hours per day (7:45-1:00) and 27 hours prep time, set up and staff meetings. The program will run five days per week, for a total of 28 instructional days. Team teaching and part-time positions may be available.

*3278 - Position Closed- Pending Interviews - Summer School Bilingual Instructional Aides - Pay is $15.19 per hour. Positions assigned as needed at preschool, elementary, middle and high school sites. Workday may begin as early as 8:00 a.m. and end as late as 1:30 p.m., depending on site needs. Aides will support classroom teachers and assist students. Training and work hours not to exceed 150 hours total. English/Spanish proficiency is required. Internal applicants only.

*3266 - Position Closed- Pending Interviews - High School Instructional Aide - Mathematics- Pay is $12.95 per hour. Hours for Middle School are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Hours for High School are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Positions assigned as needed at Junction Ave. Middle School (working with 6^th - 8^th grade students ) and Granada High School (working with 9^th - 11^th grade students). Positions require an understanding of mathematics at the level of Intermediate Algebra. Successful candidates will work with students in small groups and one on one in self paced math programs. Interested applicants should complete an Instructional Aide – Mathematics Summer School Application and submit one letter of recommendation. High school students are required to submit a copy of an attendance record, transcript and one letter of recommendation.
*3276 - Position Closed- Pending Interviews - High School Student Aide - Pay is $8.50 per hour. Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Positions assigned as needed at Croce, Arroyo Seco, Marylin, and Sunset Elementary Schools. Positions are open to students who will be entering 9-12 grade in the fall of 2008 and will involve working in the summer school program with elementary age students in grades 1-5. Applicants must be 14 years of age by June 23, 2008. Must be dependable and have good leadership skills. English and/or Spanish speakers desired. In addition to the application, a copy of attendance, transcript and one letter of recommendation are required. All successful candidates will be required to obtain a work permit and enroll in a summer Work Experience Program through Granada High School.

*3148 - Special Education Summer School Nurse - $27.64 per hour. Nurse will work 4 hours per day M-Th (8:30-12:30pm). Hours include: 25 hours of prep time, set up and a mandatory staff meeting on Friday, June 20. . The program will run from June 23-July 24 (with possible extension to July 31).
